Eminem showed no fear last year at the MTV Video Music Awards, nabbing Best Male Video for “Not Afraid” over Drake, Usher and B.o.B. But in 2011, fearless, lie-loving Eminem was no match for the feverish smile of Justin Bieber.
The Biebs took home the win for “U Smile,” winning out over Em’s “Love the Way You Lie,” Cee Lo Green’s “F— You,” Bruno Mars’ “Grenade” and Kanye West’s “All of the Lights.”
After presenter Kim Kardashian announced his name, Bieber popped up, snagged a smooch with girlfriend Selena Gomez, and headed up onstage, where he delivered a heartfelt message about the role of a higher power in his ascendance to the top of the young pop crop.
“I just want to say thank you so much, not only to God but to Jesus,” Bieber said. “Because I wouldn’t be here without Him. He’s really blessed me. He’s put me in this position. So I want to say thank you so much.”
The win marked two Moonmen in two years for Bieber, who nabbed Best New Artist for “Baby” at the 2010 VMAs (besting Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj and Jason Derülo) and who is quickly making certain his name and music are deeply engrained in the MTV award show. Last year, of course, Bieber opened the VMAs with a medley outside in Nokia Plaza. This time around, he skipped a performance but still found himself at the center of the action inside the theater.
“Also, I want to say thank you to all the other nominees,” Bieber said. “They were amazing. I’m a true fan of all of them, so I want to share this award with all them. You guys are amazing.”

The settlement struck between Mel Gibson andOksana Grigorieva is nothing less than a financial fiasco for a woman who wanted untold millions of dollars from her famous ex.Â
TMZ obtained a copy of the original 2010 settlement worth $15 million that Oksana disavowed. At the time, Oksana said she would not go through with the settlement because she felt Mel was a danger to their daughter Lucia and believed Mel should not have unsupervised contact with the child.
In reality, sources connected to the case tell TMZ, the real reason Oksana walked away from the settlement is because she was advised she could get a lot more than $15 million because of the alleged physical abuse she claims she suffered at the hands of Mel.
Now, in a shocking twist of fate, rather than getting $15 million, Oksana is only getting $750k. On top of that, she was concerned about Mel having unsupervised visitation … Mel is actually getting MORE unsupervised visitation based on the agreement that was just struck.
The fact is, under the 2010 agreement, Mel would NOT have gotten 50/50 custody until Lucia turns 3 years old. Under the current agreement, he gets 50/50 custody immediately.

The E! reality television starlets both looked sporty as made their way to their afternoon workout, all the while waving to the swarm of relentless paparazzi stationed nearby.
Meanwhile, Kim recently told press that – when creating the Kardashian Kollection for Sears – she wanted to make sure everyone could enjoy the fit, no matter what size or shape they may be.
The 30-year-old stunner told press, “Usually when I buy clothes off the rack, I need to have them adjusted. So for this collection, we made sure each dress had an hourglass shape. We also used stretchy fabrics; the pieces have lots of stretch and hold so you feel secure.”
