“Balloon Boy” dad Richard Heene is selling off the infamous balloon that made him the most hated father in America — and if everything goes to plan … he’ll raise over a million bucks for charity in the process.
Richard posted a video online last week — in which he claims his family wants to help with the tsunami relief efforts in Japan … and to kick things off, he’s already set a “purchase now” price on the balloon for $1,000,000.
Heene claims he will not make a penny off the saucer — saying he hired an attorney to distribute any profits from the private online auction to Japanese tsunami relief charities.
The 20-foot saucer created a search-and-rescue panic in October 2009 — when Richard and his wife claimed their six-year-old was trapped in the balloon as it careened into the sky.
Of course, it was all a lie … and now everybody hates him.

Sean Kingston remains hospitalized in critical condition and hooked up to a ventilator with a tube inserted in his throat after a jet-ski accident in Miami, but his rep tells MTV News, “He is aware of what is going on around him,” adding that the singer “is sedated but fully conscious.”
Jackson Memorial, the hospital where Kingston is being treated, also issued this statement to MTV: ” Sean Kingston is currently in critical but stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Sean’s family asks for privacy at this time but is thankful to his friends, family and fans for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes.”
On Sunday, Kingston and a female passenger crashed his Sea Doo jet-ski into the Palm Island Bridge at approximately 6 p.m. ET. After being rescued by an off-duty Coast Guard employee, the pop star was taken to the trauma center at Jackson Memorial, but has since been moved to the intensive care unit. TMZ spoke to Kingston’s rescuer, who said that Sean was “puking up blood out of his mouth.” Another witness told the site he noticed a gash under Kingston’s chin after the crash.
Cassandra Sanchez, Sean’s friend and passenger on the jet-ski at the time of the accident, has since been discharged from the hospital, Kingston’s rep confirmed to us. Sanchez also spoke to the gossip site, telling them Kingston tried to turn away from the bridge but was going “really fast” and couldn’t avoid the crash. Sanchez also said that as Kingston was maneuvering toward the bridge, she urged him to stop and screamed out, “We can’t fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean, stop!”
Just in time for bikini season, Khloe Kardashianhas become the face of Nivea’s “Good-bye Cellulite, Hello Bikini! Challenge.”
The 26-year-old reality star, who will use a combination of the company’s products along with making changes to her nutrition and exercise routines, will document her progress via Facebook.
As she embarks on her dimple-diminishing challenge, Khloe told People, “I love to be an advocate for anything that helps empower women and give confidence to them, especially when I can relate to something as sensitive as cellulite.”
Miss Kardashian continued, “I’m so excited to partner with NIVEA to help me feel even sexier this summer. I saw the great results that my sister Kim achieved when she took the four-week Challenge a few years ago, so now I’m choosing to do something to increase my confidence and make my skin look smoother.”
Justin Bieber joined Ernie Halter onstage to perform Halter’s “Come Home to Me” (off his album Franklin & Vermont) on Thursday night in Costa Mesa, California. When Halter got on the phone with MTV News bright and early Friday (May 20) morning, he was still reeling from the experience.
“I still can’t wrap my brain around it. It’s bizarre,” he told us. “I was really impressed with how humble and very sweet him and Selena [Gomez] were to me. They’re both incredibly nice people. It’s pretty crazy.”
He then described how Bieber ended up taking the stage with him. “Well, I mean, him coming to the show, I don’t know why I didn’t see that coming. I just didn’t. I guess I’m slow, but I had no idea until I actually saw him and Selena. I went probably mentally not there for a minute or two.
“I was at the gig last night, which is not close to L.A. at all. He really wanted to go and then I’m talking to someone and out of the corner of my eye I look over and that really looks a lot like Selena Gomez,” he continued. “I looked to see who she was with and I went speechless for a couple minutes. I asked him [to perform with me] and he said yes. It was a little bit of a surprise because I didn’t think he would do it.”
With Bieber’s blessing hitting Twitter, the Internet is quickly following and Halter’s Internet stock is rising. “I have a tweet deck on my computer and it flashes every second [now] and there’s no way I would have been able to envision that,” he said. “It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculously awesome.”
While Bieber has made it clear he’s a fan of Halter, is Halter a fan of Bieber?
“Entirely [I get it]. I’ve been a fan and I really believe he’s extremely talented,” he said, explaining that his 3-year-old son got him into the Biebs. “The type of reach that he has worldwide is really iconic, on a level that we haven’t really seen. I think he’s very, very talented.”
You don?t really think that Lady Gaga & debt would go hand in hand, but apparently it?s true. Mother Monster revealed that she had amassed a $3 Million debt during the first leg of her Monster Ball tour.
With the large amount of debt hanging on her shoulders, she had no other choice but to file for bankruptcy. It?s hard to believe that with the enormous success she had that it came to that. She told the Financial Times:
?I put everything in the show, and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of the ?Monster Ball?. And it was funny because I didn?t know! And I remember I called everybody and said, ?Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five number one singles? ? and they said, ?Well, you?re $3 million in debt.? ?
What led to the pop superstar finding herself in the red? Those elaborate costumes, backup dancers and the like. It cost more to put on her show than what she was taking in at the time.
So why wouldn?t anyone have told her sooner that she was running into financial trouble, rather than later telling her, oh, ?you?re $3 million in debt?. I mean come on, certainly she has people who watch out for these things, don?t you think? I think someone needs to go through the books, just sayin?.
Now just to clarify, Lady Gaga is speaking of going bankrupt in the middle of her Monster Ball Tour, and as we all know, the Paparazzi singer is doing quite nicely for herself NOW. A few weeks ago she topped the Forbes Celebrity 100 List, besting out Oprah who fell to No. 2. Her Monster Ball Tour made bank, grossing $227.4 million and her latest album, Born This Way, released last week, already has gone platinum.
So no worries, all you Little Monsters, Mother Monster is by no means in financial ruin.

New L.A. Lakers coach Mike Brown ain’t exactly getting a warm welcome from fans — but point guard Derek Fisher tells TMZ, he likes LeBron’s old mentor … and has a LOT of faith in his coaching abilities.
As for the Dallas Mavericks — um, let’s change the subject.
